Three 20m³ stainless steel Tank Containers were modified to be stood on end. The owners now want the equipment sold as a complete package but will consider any proposal for the purchase of individual tanks or items.

Key Features

The individual tanks construction underwent FEA and modifications were made to the supporting structures to allow the tanks to be stood on end. Nozzles have been added and a large openning in the top of each tank were constructed to allow the agitators to be lifted out without the need to disassemble the rotors. The tank bases are secured to a concrete plinth using container locks mounted on plates that are to be fixed to the concrete. The top frames of the tanks are then locked together for stability using container locks.

Two tanks have CSIRO Swirl Flow® agitators that are designed to avoid bogging down following a power failure. As the unique rotor design sits above the level of solids it will re‐suspend all settled solids after an extended shutdown period.

The third tank has a standard Mixtec agitator with triple rotors each with three impellor blades. The datasheets for each agitator can be found on following pages.

The arrangement comes with a continuous top access platform clad with Chemgrate and is accessed via a caged ladder.

The tank nozzles are arranged to provide all possible cascading feed configurations with transfer either by gravity overflow or airlift.

Although originally designed for gold leaching trials the tank design can be applied to numerous other processes and either full scale or pilot scale. The tanks are easily relocated and reassembled and require minimal site preparation and infrastructure.
