Agglomerators primarily are used in the mining industry for heap leach projects.
The agglomerators are used to ball material up with chemicals like cyanide, sulphuric acid this is to help leach out the gold from the ore for the latter collection
Agglomerators can be made to any length depending on retention time and volume required to make the project viable.
When purchasing second-hand agglomerators be mindful of drive units and drive sprockets are not overly worn, also pay attention to the inner lining of the drum they can become worn or start to bulge indicating lining is starting to separate from the wall of the drum.
Some areas in the goldfields use a high saline content water which can cause considerable corrosion
